IAVO Research and Scientific is currently developing rapid geospatial data production capabilities to support urban scene generation efforts for United States Special Operations Command. As the US SOCOM transforms to lead the fight in the global war on terrorism it requires state of the art advanced capabilties to provide the most up to date and accurate geospatial information to the warfighter. Where time is of the essence, traditional image processing and feature extraction tools do not meet that challenge. IAVO is stepping up to meet that challenge by augmenting our GeoGenesis™ software suite to handle a wider variety of input data sources and extract 3D buildings for urban scene generation using novel techniques in multi-source data fusion and exploitation. By exploiting a multitude of data sources including airborne, satellite, and LIDAR data we are working to provide a more accurate view of the landscape in shorter timetables to support the warfighter.
